Housing and Residential Education Front Desk Staff

The Housing and Residential Education front desk staff serve as the first point of contact for our students, staff, and guests. They are responsible for verifying student information and granting access to the building accordingly. They assist with checking out keys when students are locked out of their room and provide assistance with resident issues ranging from facilities problems to roommate conflicts.

Our front desk staff are responsible for communicating effectively with residents and addressing resident concerns and questions. They provide resources and recommendations as needed. Our desk staff ensures the safety of our buildings and students by monitoring guests, key entry, and cameras. They report incidents to upper level professional staff as needed and documents situations through our Incident Report form for further follow up. Finally, our desk staff provides community engagement through our Residential Education Model and also checks out resources (such as board games, pool sticks, etc.) to our residents.

Members of our front desk team are asked to work a combination of daytime and nighttime as well as weekday and weekend shifts. Due to the nature of our desks being open year-round, front desk staff will also be asked to work break periods.
