Educational Talent Search Program
FAU Talent Search Overview
The TRIO Talent Search at Florida Atlantic University is a free pre-college program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education designed to identify and assist scholars from disadvantaged backgrounds in the 6th – 12th grades at target schools in Broward County School District with the potential to enroll in postsecondary school after high school. The program provides its participants with academic, career, and financial counseling and encourages them to graduate from high school and complete their postsecondary education.
FAU Talent Search aims to enhance academic performance, increase inspiration, introduce students to college campuses, publicize financial aid availability, and assist participants with the postsecondary application process.
While the Talent Search program exists through Florida Atlantic University, the program encourages scholars to apply and enter a College, University, or other qualified post-secondary education institution in the United States, using the collected resources and information from the programs.
