The Visual Planning Technology (VPT) Lab is a research laboratory at Florida Atlantic University advancing new visual languages for analyzing, conceptualizing, and producing contemporary forms of urban space.

Positioned at the intersection of planning, design research, and emerging technology, the VPT Lab mobilizes spatial mapping, data visualization, computational modeling, technical drawing, simulation, film, and artificial intelligence as integrated methods of urban investigation, representation, and development.

The Lab produces original scholarship, films, exhibitions, and pathbreaking design proposals, and collaborates with public agencies, private sector partners, and artists and designers on the complex transformations shaping how cities are understood, designed, and built.
