Everglades National Park

The researcher is currently writing a novel that is a work of eco fiction/eco fairytale. That is, it is a narrative that takes inspiration from our natural environment and explores threats to that environment as well as attempting to capture the natural magic and beauty that are often ignored or in peril. This work began when the researcher was the Artist in Residence in Everglades but is ongoing. The researcher was contracted to write an essay on the park published in 2022. This image was captured during an airboat tour of Everglades National Park while the researcher was in residence.
