The Florida Atlantic University Clinical Skills Simulation Center (CSSC) is a state-of-the-art training facility dedicated to advancing healthcare education through immersive, hands-on simulation experiences. We serve a diverse range of learners—from medical students and residents to nurses, first responders, allied health professionals, and caregivers—by integrating the latest in simulation and trainer technologies.
At CSSC, we focus on enhancing clinical performance, improving patient safety, and reducing medical errors through realistic practice in a safe environment. Guided by experienced educators and clinicians, participants develop clinical confidence, critical thinking skills, and a team-based approach to patient care.

What We Offer
Hands-On Learning
Realistic clinical scenarios using high-fidelity adult, pediatric, neonatal, obstetric, and emergency mannequins. Simulations track decisions and outcomes for real-time feedback and skill development.
Standardized Patients
Trained actors simulate patient interactions, helping learners improve communication, empathy, and diagnostic reasoning in a controlled setting.
Advanced Technology
Cutting-edge tools include wireless mannequins, virtual reality simulators, ultrasound and laparoscopic trainers, and customized task trainers for clinical procedures.
Interprofessional Training
Sessions bring together multidisciplinary teams to enhance collaboration, teamwork, and clinical efficiency.
Certifications and Courses
American Heart Association - ACLS, BLS. PALS. American College of Surgeons Advanced Trauma Life Support- traditional and refresher course.
Simulation Labs
Simulation Labs include hospital patient rooms, exam rooms, ICU, ER, surgical suites, and skilled nursing units. Fully equipped with defibrillators, oxygen ports, IV pumps, IV poles, hospital beds, otoscopes/ophthalmoscopes, and diagnostic tools.
Mannequin & Trainer Inventory
Over 20 simulators, including adult male/female, birthing simulators, pediatric and neonatal models, and specialty mannequins for emergency response and critical care. Variety of trainers including EENT, pelvic, handheld ultrasound, trauma man, airway heads, central line, iv arms, and pacer man.
Training Scope
We provide simulation-based education for Medical students and residents (across all four years and specialties), Registered nurses, nursing students, and international nurses, Local, national and international physicians, EMS personnel and hospital systems, private practices, and community caregivers
