Policy Statement

All employees should be aware of their obligations and responsibilities as public employees of Florida Atlantic University. No employee shall have any interest, financial or otherwise, direct or indirect; engage in any business transaction or professional activity; or incur any obligation of any nature which is in substantial conflict with the full and competent performance of the employee's duties. Employees must also comply with Regulation 5.011 (University Ethics), including the duty to report outside activities and certain financial interests for conflict review, and prohibitions on accepting gifts intended to influence, misuse of public position, and unauthorized compensation; violations are subject to discipline.
