Biography

Sylvia Gografe, D.V.M., Ph.D., Research Associate Professor of Biomedical Science and Director of Comparative Medicine. Dr. Gografe has more than 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal research having held academic and administrative appointments with Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Vanderbilt University, Bay Pines Veterans Administration and the University of South Florida. She is licensed to practice in Florida, Oklahoma and the European Union. Dr. Gografe achieved specialty board certification as a Diplomate with the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) in 2005. She maintains an active interest in collaborative research, has multiple publications and presentations promoting laboratory animal medicine.
