Professional Studies Program Requirements Overview

To earn the Bachelor of Professional Studies, students must complete all of the following requirements:

  • Intellectual Foundations Program (IFP) or AA Degree from a public Florida institution
  • Writing Across Curriculum (Gordon Rule) and Gordon Rule Computation Skills
  • Civic Literacy (if applicable)
  • Foreign Language Entrance Requirement
  • Professional Studies Core Competencies (see options below)
  • 120 total credit hour minimum (this includes):
    • 45 upper division (3000-4999 level) credit hour minimum
    • 30 upper division credit hours earned at FAU minimum
    • 9 summer credit hours minimum (if applicable)
  • 2.0 FAU GPA Minimum
