Welcome to WeLead

WeLead: Community Engagement Conference is a one-day experience supporting the attendees' ability to become changemakers by encouraging collaborative leadership strategies within the Greater FAU community. The conference activities include impactful leadership development sessions and opportunities to build connections with community partners. Students may register at link below.

  • Refine their leadership skills and strategies to facilitate collective action among others
  • Share ideas and best practices related to group and project management
  • Engage in civil discourse about issues facing the FAU community and surrounding areas
  • Network and coalition build with other individuals to serve their common purpose

At the Community Engagement Breakfast and Non-Profit & Volunteer Fair, attendees will be able to engage in civil discourse about issues facing the local community and surrounding areas; and network to coalition build with other individuals as we come together to serve a greater purpose.

Johnnie Lee Hubbard III is a nonprofit executive, community leader, and advocate for equitable access to education and career opportunities. He serves as Executive Director of the Andrea C. Cameron Foundation, a Palm Beach County–based organization committed to providing students with access, support, resources, and opportunities to change lives in the community.

Under Johnnie’s leadership, the Foundation has expanded its impact through full-tuition scholarships, college and career readiness programming, leadership development initiatives, and strategic partnerships across education, business, and philanthropy. His work has helped generate millions in philanthropic support while building sustainable systems that empower students pursuing college, trade, and career pathways.

Johnnie is recognized for his ethical, relationship-driven leadership and his ability to unite stakeholders around a shared mission of student success. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Ethical Leadership and remains deeply committed to mentoring young leaders and advancing long-term, generational change through education.
