Students Association for Volunteer Involvement (SAVI)

Students Association for Volunteer Involvement (SAVI) is a Student Government program that provides community service and leadership opportunities to all interested students.  SAVI promotes a positive environment through volunteerism and community engagement.  SAVI also assists clubs and other student organizations in their community service efforts. SAVI is based on the Boca Raton, Broward and Jupiter campuses.

SAVI Supported Events:
SAVI sponsored programs are held throughout the year.  Follow SAVI on their Instagram accounts for the most updated information on getting involved.

SAVI Programs Include:

ExtravaCANza
ExtravaCANza is a program that takes place on Homecoming each year on the Boca Raton campus where student teams compete to build a sculpture made from canned goods that relate to that year's Homecoming theme. From there, the canned goods are then donated to a community agency to be able to help our neighbors in need.

The 2018 ExtravaCANza contest netted over 2,100 pounds of canned goods.

Days of Service
SAVI hosts four Days of Service each year: WoW (Weeks of Welcome), the FAU Homecoming Day of Service, the MLK Day, and Cesar Chavez Day of Service.

Each Day of Service seeks to connect students with a variety of community partners, in an effort to make a difference and learn about a given social issue.
