Registration for Legacy 61: The New Student Experience is now live!

Degree seeking first-year and transfer students admitted for Fall 2026 are eligible to attend.

Can I leave early or miss parts of the program?

Full attendance is required for both days of Legacy 61.
Students are expected to participate in all scheduled sessions. Missing required components may result in a hold being placed on your student account.

How many spots are available?

Only 100 spots for this opportunity.
- Attend this retreat to receive an exclusive early move-in opportunity.
Registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
Your registration includes:
- Meals and snacks
- Lodging (if applicable)
- Transportation
- Program activities
- Event materials

What can I expect at Legacy 61?

Legacy 61 is a two-day transition experience designed to help you start strong at FAU.
During the program, you will:
- Connect with new students, staff, and campus leaders
- Learn about FAU traditions and student life
- Explore involvement and leadership opportunities
- Identify key campus resources (both virtual and in-person)

Where will I be staying overnight?

Housing arrangements depend on your student status:
- On-campus residents: You will return to your assigned residence hall at the end of each day’s programming.
- Traveling students: Overnight accommodation will be provided at a hotel near the Boca Raton campus.
All luggage will be stored in a secure location during program hours. Students are encouraged to pack light (no larger than a duffel bag or carry-on suitcase).

Who can attend Legacy 61?

Newly admitted first-year and transfer students beginning in Fall 2026
Please note:
- Students enrolled in full or half-term summer courses are not eligible to participate
- Alternative programming will be available for students taking summer classes

What if I need help moving in early?

Elite Owl Ambassadors will be available on August 17 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM to support the standard move-in process.
They will assist with:
- Building navigation and locating your assigned room
- Rolling bins will be available to assist with moving items
  - Ambassadors cannot provide hands-on moving assistance or enter student rooms
  - Residential students will need their Owl Card to access their building efficiently.
