Financial Aid Money Matters

By logging into your MyFAU you can review your status, including any missing requirements, and your financial aid offer.

If you have accepted financial aid - such as grants, scholarships, or student loans—your funds will be applied directly to your student account after the add/drop period, usually 2–3 weeks into the semester. Students with accepted financial aid are automatically given a deferred payment deadline for any remaining balance. The Controller’s Office will post these deadlines. No payment is required before your financial aid is disbursed, as long as your aid has been accepted.

Students are encouraged to explore scholarship opportunities through Scholarship Universe.

Students have several options on using financial aid for books, including the short-term advance, FAU bookstore line of credit, and the Follett Access program.
