The Soar-in-4 program at Florida Atlantic University is designed to help First-Time in College (FTIC) students graduate in four years or less. The College of Education’s Soar-in-4 program equips aspiring educators with structured guidance, priority registration, personalized advising, and career support—so you can soar into your teaching career on schedule.

Our Student Success Advising and Faculty Mentoring Team will guide students every step of the way, helping them to navigate their academic journey and prepare for a rewarding career as a highly skilled teacher.

Soar in 4 Flight Plan

Students participating in the program will have the following opportunities:

  • Priority Course Registration: Secure your seat in required classes each semester.
  • Dedicated Success Team: Get support from University Advising Services, College of Education faculty, Financial Aid, and Career Center professionals.
  • Personalized Advising & Mentoring: Work with advisors and mentors to develop and review your academic plan, ensuring you stay on track for timely graduation.
  • Career Readiness: Access free test preparation for the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations, early field experience through the Accelerated Induction into Teaching (AIT) program, specialized clinical placements, and networking opportunities.
  • Campus Resources: Benefit from services like the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS), Writing Center, and Speaking Center.
  • Community & Engagement: Participate in events with the Student Achievement Council (SAC), Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) Club, and the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
  • Scholarships & Financial Support: Learn about and apply for scholarships offered by the College of Education.
  • Exclusive Events: Meet and greet with the College Dean and Department Chairs, attend workshops, and join college-hosted activities.
