Academic advising as a profession continues to grow, and this growth has led to more professionals contributing new research on the impact of academic advising (McGill et al., 2022). This presentation will inspire advisors to incorporate research into their work. Using the Appreciative Advising framework, attendees will start to create a research question that reflects their interests and goals as a professional. By demystifying the research process, this webinar aims to equip advisors with tools to engage in the scholarship on academic advising.
