Establishing a Named Diplomacy Scholarship

  1. Draft a check in the amount of $1000 ($1,500 for a community, business, etc.).
  2. Make the check payable to FAU FOUNDATION, with HUM 685 in the memo.
  3. Provide the name(s) that the scholarship will honor. If no name is provided, the scholarship will be named for the person(s) listed on the return address.
  4. Mail the check to:

All scholarship donations will be deposited in the University’s Foundation account that supports Professor Morton’s students in his United Nations and Diplomacy Program. Students do not receive cash awards. Instead, the funds are used to support their educational activities, such as participation in national and international debate and diplomacy competitions and attendance at international conferences that address pressing global issues.

Each scholarship recipient will be recognized at the Department of Political Science’s Annual Awards Ceremony, scholarship donors are welcome to attend. In addition to a certificate bearing the name of the donor and the recipient, a plaque will be prominently displayed with donor and recipient information.
