Jeffrey S. Morton has served as Director of the Diplomacy Program since its inception in 1996. Professor Morton received his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1995, specializing in International Law. Dr. Morton holds a Masters degree from Rutgers University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Certificate in International Law from the International Law Commission of the United Nations, Geneva, Switzerland.
The author of three books and numerous journal articles, Dr. Morton holds the rank of Professor in the Department of Political Science and is the Lifelong Learning Society Distinguished Professor of Current Events. Professor Morton annually teaches INR 4503: Advanced Diplomacy, which prepares students for participation in diplomacy competitions.

Aimee Arias serves as Associate Director of the Diplomacy Program and is principally responsible for program development. Professor Arias received her Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Miami in 2001. She was formerly the Associate Director of the Miami European Union Center, serving also as an editor, research associate, and program consultant. Dr. Arias' interests include comparative politics and international relations, particularly in the areas of Europe and Latin America. The author of a book, numerous journal articles and book chapters, Aimee Arias holds the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science.
