	Terry Eggenberger, PhD Executive Director (561) 297-2832 Bio Dr. Terry Eggenberger is the Executive Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice, Office of the Provost at Florida Atlantic University, Associate Professor in the College of Nursing, and Clinical Associate Affiliate in the College of Medicine. She has been leading interprofessional (IP) education and practice since 2008 and more recently led initiatives to address the needs of medically underserved ethnically diverse, vulnerable populations requiring diabetes and mental health telehealth services in South Florida through a NEPQR HRSA grant. She has published on IP initiatives and presented nationally and internationally on team science and communication.
	Aloha Balza, MPA Assistant Director (561) 297-0546 Bio Maria Palacios is a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice at Florida Atlantic University. She contributes to the planning and coordination of interprofessional education events and workshops, supporting communication efforts, assessment reporting, and website management. With a background in industrial engineering and professional experience in event management, communication, and data analysis, Maria brings a diverse skill set to the IPE&P team. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at Florida Atlantic University.
	Maria Palacios, MSBA Candidate Graduate Assistant Bio Maria Palacios is a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice at Florida Atlantic University. She contributes to the planning and coordination of interprofessional education events and workshops, supporting communication efforts, assessment reporting, and website management. With a background in industrial engineering and professional experience in event management, communication, and data analysis, Maria brings a diverse skill set to the IPE&P team. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at Florida Atlantic University.

	Rey Lavandera, PhD Associate Professor, College of Nursing Bio Rey Lavandera, FNP-C, PhD, is the newly appointed Associate Director for the FAU Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice for the College of Nursing. He has over 20 years of professional healthcare experience in both clinical and educational settings. He is a clinical leader currently serving as leader/mentor to 9 Nurse Practitioners. He has over 18 years as professor of pharmacology/Pathophysiology/Research and Healthcare Policy Creator of entire nursing curriculum for multiple nursing schools. Dr. Lavandera is an outstanding communicator and respected leader of the Latin American Community.
	James Parkkonen, MD Assistant Professor, College of Medicine Bio James Parkkonen, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. He serves as an academic hospitalist at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, directs the Transition to Residency course, and teaches in Pathophysiology and Foundations of Medicine. Dr. Parkkonen is the Associate Director of the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice, representing the College of Medicine. He joined FAU in early 2025.
