There are a number of ways to make a public records request. All requests will be processed in the order in which they are received, and as promptly as possible. Pursuant to section 119.07(4), Florida Statutes, FAU may impose fees, which are also available on the Florida Governor’s website at www.flgov.com/cost-recovery-program/ :

Notice for Crash Reports: Traffic crash reports and the information contained therein is confidential for the first 60 days after the crash, and can only be obtained by certain parties, per F.S.S. 316.066(2). NOTE: as of March 1st, 2023, the Florida State Legislature, through Senate Bill 1614, has also made certain crash report information confidential and exempt beyond 60 days, except to certain parties. The State requires that anyone requesting a traffic crash report must complete an affidavit specifying why you are entitled to that report. You may use the link provided to print an Adobe PDF copy of the affidavit.
