Linda Petersen
Neuroscience Graduate Program Coordinator
Biography: In December 2016, Linda was hired as the coordinator for the Ph.D. pilot Graduate Neuroscience Training Program, and since 2021 coordinator Ph.D. Neuroscience Graduate Program for the Florida Atlantic University Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute.
Linda's career in higher education started with Florida Atlantic University in 2014, when she joined the Graduate College as an Assistant for Degree Completion and quickly became Administrator of Degree Completion Processes. She coordinated the documentation required for degree completion and certification for all graduate degree completion programs for graduate students at FAU, across eight FAU colleges and departments on the Boca Raton, Jupiter and Davie campuses.
Linda is a native of Springfield, Missouri, pursued a bachelor’s degree in computer information science at Missouri State University. Linda's career began with the federal government in Springfield, Missouri, working for the Department of Justice. She continued her work with the federal government at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, for the Department of Defense 101st Airborne Division, and in Reston, Virginia, for the Department of Interior as a computer programmer. Following her relocation to Boca Raton, Florida, she was in education for eight years at Spanish River Christian School.
