The Center for Peace, Justice and Human Rights is excited to announce the 3rd annual celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This year is the 77th anniversary of the historic document. PJHR will celebrate this milestone with three signature events. Each highlights a different aspect of women’s human rights.

Our main signature event on December 10 will begin with a keynote and conclude with a hors d’oeuvres banquet and awards ceremony. Please check back for regular updates and full schedule as it is confirmed! The events are open to students, faculty and the community. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us as we continue to learn more about the 30 articles that make up this document and the inalienable rights they protect.

PJHR's 77th Annual Celebration for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Program

Keynote, Workshops, Awards Ceremony and Banquet

  • 1 – 6 pm, December 10, 2025 | Majestic Palm Room, Student Union (UN)

PJHR’s annual fall signature event brings together practitioners, academics, diplomats, politicians, teachers and others to raise awareness about and learn how to better advance the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The celebration will include art, keynote, breakout sessions, and will conclude with a hors d’oeuvres banquetand awards ceremony. Kenote address featuring Duilia Mora Turner,  Leadership, Human Security, and Foreign Affairs Advisor with a special interest in Latin America and the Caribbean. FAU Sustainability ClubFAU Sustainability Club

The FAU Sustainability Club is dedicated to educating students on why making eco-conscious choices is so important. We do what we can to make our campus eco-friendlier through action, partnerships, and education. We host events as well as projects to better the campus and our overall surroundings. Our club has partnered with organizations like 4Ocean and Rock the Ocean at Tortuga Music Festival to expand our impact beyond campus and engage with larger environmental efforts. Overall, our mission is to raise awareness and create hands-on opportunities for students to contribute to a more sustainable future and learn how to live in line with nature.
