Ready-to-Sign Licensing Program

The Office of Technology Development (OTD) provides ready-to-sign agreements with standard terms and conditions for industry partners to license designated FAU technologies on a non-exclusive basis. The goal of this program is to facilitate the commercialization of university intellectual property by simplifying the licensing process and eliminating the need for negotiations. All ready-to-sign licenses contain annual flat rate license maintenance fees with no royalties or patent expense reimbursements. These terms are only available to qualified parties who complete the required information and sign the agreement without modification.

To complete a ready-to-sign license agreement, please follow these steps:

1. Select a technology that is eligible for a ready-to-sign license
2. Email OTD to request a license agreement
3. Complete all highlighted sections of the agreement
4. Sign the agreement
5. Send the partially executed agreement to OTD
6. OTD will return the fully executed agreement with an invoice for the initial license fee
