PELS FOR MULTILINGUAL GRADUATE STUDENTS 

International and domestic multilingual graduate students make up a significant percentage of FAU student population. FAU's diverse student population is at the core of PELS' goal to offer a series of free courses and workshops that target the specific writing and speaking needs of professional multilingual graduate students.  

These are some of the areas that PELS courses and workshops address: 

• Preparing to write (thesis; dissertation; academic paper or article)
• Reading for research
• Taking part in academic discussion
• Research paper writing
• Writing your thesis or dissertation
• Revising and editing your writing
• Preparing for the academic/professional job search
• Designing and delivering effective presentations
• Improving pronunciation/oral communication
