Math Learning Center

The MLC is a tutoring center that offers free help in all undergraduate math courses at FAU. This includes help in:

• Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1130)
• College Algebra (MAC 1105)
• Trigonometry and Pre-calculus (MAC 1147, MAC 2210)
• All Calculus classes (MAC 2233, MAC 2311, MAC 2312, MAC 2313)
• Math Thinking in Context (MGF 1130, MGF 1131)
• Introductory Statistics (STA 2023)

The MLC is centrally located in General South 211 (GS 211), next to the Breezeway food court, across from the bookstore, and accessible from the Breezeway’s second floor. The MLC also offers online tutoring for selected courses through https://tutoring.fau.edu/trac/index.php. Visit https://www.fau.edu/mlc/remote/ for more information about our online offerings.

• The MLC is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, and 10 am to 4 pm on Friday.
• The SAM lab, our lab for College Algebra tutoring (MAC 1105) in General Classroom South (GS) 207, is open Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm, and 9 am to 4 pm on Friday.
• Online tutoring is available remotely for online sections and selected courses on weeknights and Sundays.
• You can drop in anytime during our hours; no appointments needed.

The MLC offers a friendly environment where you can brush up your math skills. You can work on your math homework or prepare for a test. Our tutors are readily available to assist you and answer your questions.

Some extra credit opportunities are available through the MLC for MAC 1105 and business sections of MAC 2233. See your course syllabus or contact us for more information about such opportunities.
