Early Academic Feedback
What are early academic feedback reports?
- Your instructor will provide a snapshot of your academic performance early in the term and/or at midterm to identify if you may benefit from additional academic support.
- It is not a final grade and does not impact your GPA.
- They serve as an early warning system, allowing faculty to let you know if you are at-risk of failing or struggling in their class, and trigger interventions from academic advisors and support staff.
- Important: academic feedback reports should be used along with posted class grades do determine your progress.
What are the benefits of early academic feedback reports?
- Students who receive and take action on the early outreach have improved their GPA by 1 full letter grade by the end of the term.
- Students who receive academic feedback can create a plan for change and improvement before it is too late.
When do early academic feedback reports get issued?
- Around week 4 and at midterm.
