Jodi Leit passed away April 26, 2022. She is survived by her father-in-law Barton Leit; daughters Mindi Rachel Leit and Ariana Leit; and sister Michelle Rubin (Eric).

Jodi Leit served 23 years at FAU. She was initially hired as Director of Field Placement Services for the Office of Academic and Student Services in the College of Education in September of 1998. In 2006, she moved into full-time teaching as a Core Teaching Instructor for the department of Teaching and Learning, currently titled the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She also acted as faculty advisor to Florida Future Educators of America at FAU, a student organization. Prior to her positions at the College, she taught in Broward County schools from 1990-1998.

“She was a staple in the department and college for decades,” said Charles Dukes, Ph.D., Interim Chair, Department of Curriculum and Instruction. “She was personable, a joy to be around and always student centered.”
