Project Overviews: Autonomous Holographic Imaging

HBOI Foundation

Lead PI: James Sullivan

Three-dimensional holographic imaging is a powerful tool for identifying particles with unique shape characteristics, allowing researchers to distinguish between various types of phytoplankton and zooplankton. This project aims to design, build and test an autonomous holographic imaging system (AUTOHOLO) that can be deployed in various research settings to better identify and profile harmful algal blooms.
