Volunteer with FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute
At FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, our Education and Outreach Department connects people of all ages with the wonders of marine science and the cutting-edge research happening right here on Florida’s Treasure Coast. Volunteers are an essential part of this mission, helping us inspire curiosity, share knowledge, and foster ocean stewardship throughout our community.
As an Education and Outreach volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to support a variety of engaging activities both on-site and in the community. Whether you enjoy welcoming visitors, assisting with educational programs, or representing FAU Harbor Branch at public events, your time and enthusiasm make a real difference. In return, volunteers gain hands-on experience in environmental education and outreach, the satisfaction of sharing marine science and conservation with diverse audiences, and access to exclusive benefits such as a complimentary Boat and Tram Tour, a 10% discount in the FAU Harbor Branch Gift Shop, and special volunteer appreciation events and learning opportunities.
