Allan Barsky received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Social Work, his MSW from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. His teaching and research interests include social work practice theory and skill development, pedagogy, conflict resolution, professional ethics, and substance abuse. Ann Branaman
College of Arts and Letters
Sociology
Ann Branaman earned her PhD in Sociology from Pennsylvania State University. Her current research focuses on identity processes in 'emerging adulthood', a term other scholar have used to refer to a developmental phase between adolescence and adulthood and her research of the past two decades has covered a broad range of topics in social theory, including: the social theory of Erving Goffman and Kenneth Burke; psychoanalytical social theory; interaction and inequality; emotions and human rights; feminist social theories of identity; Zygmunt Bauman's theory of gender and sexualities in 'liquid modernity'.

Charles E. Dukes, EdD, PhD earned a doctorate in Special Education from Florida International University in Miami, Florida and a second doctorate in Experimental Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. His areas of expertise include instructional practices for individuals with the most significant disabilities, applied behavior analysis, and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Lincoln B. Sloas

Dr. Lincoln Sloas is an Associate Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University. He received his Ph.D. in Criminology, Law, and Society from George Mason University in 2015. Dr. Sloas conducts research in the areas of problem-solving courts including drug courts and how individuals navigate substance abuse treatment services. His most recent research has been published in Criminal Justice Review, Criminal Justice Policy Review, and Journal of Quantitative Criminology. Dr. Sloas teaches courses in Law, Crime and the Criminal Justice System, Drug Courts and Problem-Solving Courts.

William Trapani

Rhetoric Theory
William Trapani earned his Ph.D. from University of Iowa in 2002.Bill Trapani's research and teaching are informed by rhetorical theory and criticism and critical/cultural studies. His principal areas of scholarly interest include the rhetoric of visual culture, national identity and citizenship studies, and the theorization of contemporary protest and social activism. His work primarily explores the rhetorical construction and consequence of varying figurations of the American national character.

Candy Wilson, PhD, APRN, WHNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN
College of Nursing
Nursing
Dr. Wilson comes to the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing after teaching at the doctoral level of nursing for six years at a prior university. She has published 52 peer-reviewed papers and three book chapters. She was awarded over $18 million in research funded from Federal and Department of Defense sources. She was the portfolio director for the Military Women’s Health Research Program for $3M. Dr. Wilson’s research goals at FAU are to collaborate with others dedicated to military and veteran research focusing on sex and gender differences in health and well-being, including alternative therapies.
