Department of Special Education Non-Degree Programs

The Department of Special Education offers five non-degree course sequences leading to specific endorsements or certifications. These courses may be completed as stand-alone courses, as a non-degree-seeking student; or, may be taken as a degree-seeking graduate student, as an area of concentration for our M.Ed. in Special Education.

This course sequence offers specialized training in the design and implementation of intervention strategies to teach socially valid behavior. The knowledge and skills gained from these courses serve as the foundation and preparation for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA) examination.

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)- State of Florida Teacher Certification Endorsement

This course sequence offers specialized training to work with children and adults with an ASD diagnosis across a variety of school and community settings. Students completing this course sequence are eligible to apply for the State of Florida Teacher Certification Endorsement in ASD.
