Students Step-by-Step Admissions Process

  1. Nomination Process
    1. Talk with your school leader about your desire to be Nominated for this program submit a nomination for you to the program.
    2. Sometime in Mid-Fall your school leader will receive a district memo asking to submit nominations.
    3. After you have been nominated, information will be sent to attend the mandatory information session.
  2. Application Process for admission to the Program
    1. Complete the online application - you will need:
      1. Unofficial undergraduate transcripts
      2. Unofficial graduate transcripts (if applicabale)
      3. Application essay
        Two pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman, Font size 12.
      4. Professional resume
      5. Proof of Florida Professional Certificate
      6. Principal recommendation letter
      7. Previous three teacher evaluations
    2. Get principal commitment to mentor in the program
      1. Signed Sponsor Commitment Letter
    3. Sit for the admissions interview
    4. Respond to the admissions essay prompt
  3. Program Admissions Process
    1. Attend students orientation session
    2. Read, acknowledge, and sign the following documents
      1. Student Conduct Policy
      2. Attendance Policy
      3. Academic Integrity Policy
      4. Photo Release Forms
      5. Research Consent Form
      6. Mentor Committment Form
      7. Submission of Assignment Policy
  4. Application Process for admission to FAU
    1. Complete the university application process - you will need:
      1. Official undergraduate transcripts
      2. Official graduate transcripts (if applicabale)
      3. Completed FAU online Application

    2. Prove Florida residency for tuition purposes - you will need:
      1. Copy of Florida Driver License
      2. Copy of Florida Registration or Florida Voter Registration Card
      3. Completed Florida residency declaration

    1. Apply for the non-degree seeking status
