Instructional Design Certificate Incorporate current technologies into instruction or training. Our fully online certificate in Instructional Design allows you to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to apply modern technology in both higher educational course design and online training settings. Through our program, you will gain applied skills in instructional design, distance learning, and instructional technology to engage students and create web based and multimedia instructional content. Classes in the certificate can be applied to the masters in Instructional Technology.

Program Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Instructional Design Certificate. Your first step is to fill out an internal application that allows us to connect with you and provide you with updates.

The Certificate in Instructional Design provides an opportunity for students to earn a 12- credit master's certificate. This program incorporates current technologies into instruction or training and allows you to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to apply modern technology in both higher educational course design and online training settings. Through our program, you will gain applied skills in instructional design, distance learning, and instructional technology to engage students and create web based and multimedia instructional content. Classes taken for the ID Certificate may be applied toward the Master's in Instructional Technology, meeting the 1/3 non-degree seeking limit of the total degree. If you have questions about any of the course work before being admitted, please contact the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at dci@fau.edu.

Once you are accepted, register for our courses. A bachelor's degree in any area is the only requirement to apply.
