Master's Degree (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education with ESOL plus Certification
The Master's Degree in Elementary Education with ESOL plus certification is designed for students who already have a bachelor’s degree and are seeking certification to become an elementary education teacher in grades K-6. This program includes a semester of student teaching as well as essential field experiences to prepare students for classroom teaching.

In this innovative program, students will obtain K-6 teaching certification as well as ESOL and reading endorsement on their teaching license. This hybrid program contains flexible schedules to allow coursework to be completed while working. Students may begin the program in January, May, or August and can complete coursework in 24 months (with the addition of their student teaching semester).

The MASTER’S DEGREE in ELEMENTARY EDUCATION WITH ESOL PLUS CERTIFICATION is designed for students holding a bachelor’s degree who intend on becoming Elementary Teachers (K-6). Upon program completion, which includes student teaching, the student is eligible for Florida Professional Certification and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education.

Admission Requirements
Application will require applicant to submit:
- Official transcripts including all undergraduate coursework and evidence of bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (3.0 GPA required)
- Personal Statement outlining interest in the program
- Resume
- Two letters of recommendation that highlight the candidate's academic potential
- Any additional requirements for the degree for which you are applying that are listed on the application
After your application is completed, it will be forwarded to the Department of Curriculum & Instruction for a decision.
