A minor in sociology requires earning a grade of C or better in a minimum of four 3000 or 4000-level courses (total of 12 credit hours). Any courses in the department can be used for the minor. Completion of 4000-level courses is not required to earn the minor in Sociology. 4000-level courses are intended as research capstone courses for sociology majors; SYA 3010 and SYA 3300 are prerequisites for 4000-level courses.
