Six Sociology MA students presented their original research at the Southern Sociological Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Laura Backstrom published her first book entitled Weighty Problems: Embodied Inequality at a Children’s Weight Loss Camp (Rutgers University Press, 2019).
Two FAU sociology faculty present their papers at the Eastern Sociological Society Conference in Boston.
The Sociology Department will award a $300 prize to the student who produces the best sociology paper during academic year Fall 2018-Spring 2019. A $100 award will go to the first runner-up.
