FAU Army ROTC Commissioning Ceremony Fall 2025!

On December 15, 2025, FAU celebrated the commissioning of five Florida Atlantic U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Cadets and graduates as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army! FAU's Army ROTC Talon Battalion is a premier leadership development course curriculum in Military Science and Leadership designed to produce highly educated, mission capable military leaders. At Florida Atlantic, ROTC Cadets challenge themselves and experience what it takes to lead, motivate, and inspire others as future leaders in the U.S. Army through challenging classroom instruction, leadership labs, field training exercises, physical fitness training, a multitude of Army schools, and community service.
President Hasner, First Lady Hasner, and Major General Rafael Ribas, U.S. Army (Ret.) honored the Florida Atlantic alumni in their roles as new Army leaders while recognizing the strong support of their families. President Hasner remarked that each Officer will now begin their careers of service, sacrifice, and leadership knowing that Florida Atlantic will always be their home. The Military and Veteran Student Success Team and Division of Student Affairs is especially proud of these extraordinary alumni.
