Tuesday, Apr 29, 2025
Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, in partnership with the Sigma Iota Xi At-Large Chapter, hosted the 2025 Nursing Scholarship Showcase on Wednesday, April 16, highlighting an impressive display of student and faculty research intended to improve health care delivery.
The event brought together exceptional research and quality improvement studies from students and faculty across undergraduate and graduate programs. The poster presentations covered a variety of topics, ranging from iron deficiency in female military recruits and civility in health care to shared decision-making in contraceptive counseling for adult women.
Dean Cameron Duncan shared inspiring words, reflecting on his own nursing career and encouraging students to always remain persistent in their career goals, despite challenges, and to never give up on their dreams.
This year’s showcase had a record number of poster presenters who described their various research projects to attendees including Christine E. Lynn, who met with students and faculty. The best poster presentations in the undergraduate, Honors, DNP, Ph.D. and faculty categories were selected by faculty judges.
