Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Opeyemi Adenmosun is a Nigerian scholar who came to the United States on a student visa. In Nigeria, she practiced as a registered nurse and registered nurse midwife in different departments including, antenatal, child welfare, rural community, emergency, eyes, and ear, nose, and throat in Nigeria. During her master’s degree, she practiced in the long-term healthcare facility for a while. She also had the opportunity to do her practicum in the hospice where she developed a tool box for non-pharmacological pain interventions (NPPI). Dr. Adenmosun, taught anatomy and physiology lab to undergraduates in sciences, nursing, and pre-meds. She also taught pharmacotherapeutics and nursing research to undergraduate nursing students. She in assisted in the mental health, pediatrics, maternity, and foundation of nursing labs.

Dr. Elizabeth Adenmosun’s research interest is in adolescents sexual risk behaviors and related factors including HIV, STIs, mental health, substance use, social media, religion/spirituality, parental relationships. The overall goal of her research is to promote health equity, reduce diseases, and assist adolescents to become healthy adults who are able to contribute positively locally, nationally, and globally.
