Thank you for your application for the State Online Faculty Award.


Prerequisite For Submission

The prerequisite for submission is a course(s), which has/have been reviewed by a Quality Matters reviewer and successfully met the Florida High Quality Standards as defined by the Florida Online Course Design Quality Designations.

Submissions open November 17, 2025 and close January 9, 2026. Please note that only complete packages will be considered.

You will be asked to submit each requirement through Canvas assignments in a course to which you will be invited.

Submission Requirements

Please highlight the attainment of online student engagement, online student learning gains and online student satisfaction in the following submissions:

  • Short CV showcasing online teaching practice
  • Letter from Dean/Chair outlining your exemplary online teaching practice
  • Letter of support from a colleague or additional Chair/Dean outlining your exemplary online teaching practice
  • Artifacts (2) showing a body of work in exemplary online teaching practice
    • Refer to this guide for examples of the types of evidence you can showcase.
    • Artifact examples may include a video with evidence of exemplary online teaching, screenshots, PowerPoint presentation, SPOT results, etc.
  • Narrative describing your trajectory towards exemplary online teaching practice, including iterative improvements based on formative evaluation of online teaching strategies
