Welcome to the website for Immigration Services and Compliance at Florida Atlantic University. The mission of this office is to provide leadership, oversight, support, and guidance, to faculty and staff in navigating the complex regulations and requirements impacting immigration employment.
The Office of Immigration Services and Compliance serves under the Center of Global Engagement and the Division of Academic Affairs. This office works in close collaboration with the Provost Office, General Counsel Office, Department of Human Resources, and contracted external immigration attorneys.
This office oversees employment matters of non-immigrant work visas such as, H-1B, O-1, TN, and employment-based permanent residency requests. In addition, this office is also responsible for regulatory compliance of the Short-Term Scholar, Intern, Research Scholar and Professor J-1 visa program categories under the Exchange Visitor Program as governed by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
