FAU Owls Abroad Photo Contest
We are excited to announce the opening of our 2022 FAU Owls Abroad Virtual Photo Contest! Every year, Education Abroad hosts a photo contest for past study abroad students to showcase their amazing experiences abroad! You are invited to enter! Please see submission instructions below. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 5 pm on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022. (Late submissions will not be accepted).
ELIGIBILITY: The Photo Contest is open to FAU degree-seeking students who participated in an approved short or long-term study abroad or internship abroad program during the 2021-2022 Academic Year (Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 or Summer 2022).
SUBMISSION CRITERIA: Photo submissions must be original works of art taken during official program dates. Submissions should be high resolutions photos in color or black and white. Students may submit three original works.
HOW TO ENTER:
- Complete a photo entry and release form
- Submit up to 3 high resolution photos. (Photos submitted with low resolution may not be accepted due to photo quality.)
- Photo submissions and release form must be emailed to: fauowlsabroad@gmail.com as a JPEG (.jpg) file at the original photo size.
JUDGING: All photos will be evaluated by a team of judges selected from the FAU community of faculty and staff. Each photo is judged on its own merit. Judges' decisions are final.
COMMUNITY CHOICE AWARD: Eligible photo submissions will be shared in a Community Choice Award album on the FAU Education Abroad Facebook page on Monday, October 31st. The photo with the most likes Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at 2 pm, will be the Community Choice Award winner.
FAU SPIRIT ABROAD AWARD: Eligible photo submissions will be shared in a FAU Spirit Abroad Award on the FAU Education Abroad Facebook page on Monday, October 31st. The photo with the most likes on Thursday, November 10th, 2022, at 2 pm, will be the FAU Spirit Abroad Award winner.
PRIZES: There will be four (4) prize winners: 1st Prize, 2nd Prize, and 3rd Prize selected by the team of judges and then a Community Choice Award and FAU Spirit Abroad given based on the photo with the most likes within the Facebook album.
