Center for the Future of AI, Mind & Society
The Center is dedicated to navigating the future of artificial intelligence—an issue with profound cultural, intellectual, and economic implications. One way we pursue this mission is through MindFest, our flagship event led by Dr. Susan Schneider. Each year, the conference brings together leading thinkers, researchers, and academics to address pressing philosophical and scientific questions.
Our third and most recent installment, MindFest 2025, aimed to identify key trajectories for the future of human–AI interaction. Moreover, our collaboration with the PBS series Closer To Truth helped amplify the voices of distinguished keynote speakers, including Tam Hunt, Jonathan Schooler, Zoltan Istvan, and others, creating a global platform for dialogue and insight into the future of technology, mind, and society.

Looking ahead, MindFest 2026 will take place on April 1–2, 2026, at Florida Atlantic University. As questions about AI grow increasingly urgent, the conference will continue to bring innovators from around the world to reimagine what is possible in the age of AI.
