ARE 5.0 Workshop Descriptions
Potential participants should first examine the NCARB ARE website for the most updated requirements and process for sitting for the ARE. As each licensing jurisdiction has their own regulations regarding eligibility for taking the ARE exams, exam candidates should review the Licensing Requirements Tool provided by NCARB to ensure they have met the minimum requirements to begin their exams.
The goal of each individual workshop will be to familiarize candidates with the appropriate range of material that will be tested as well as the depth of knowledge that is reasonably required. Each workshop participant will become familiar with the types of questions asked on the exam and will learn strategies to help them answer the questions to the best of their knowledge.
It is the suggestion of the ARE instructor that you work out a timeline for taking all of the exams. The course schedules are designed so that each exam builds on the next, ensuring an efficient introduction and reinforcement of course material as each exam candidate progresses through the exam process. Depending on the intensity of the particular exam there will be anywhere from four (4) to seven (7) weeks between workshops. The purpose of the time between workshops is to give participants ample opportunity to self-study and to take the respective exam, prior to the start of the next workshop. Ideally, the participant who signs up for all six (6) workshops will therefore complete the exam sequence in a little over 10 months.
The following is the order of classes that is suggested by IDaC along with the proposed time frames and prices.
