Edward E. Hamby Sr. (CACP and CMCP)
Edward E. Hamby Sr. holds seven state certified construction licenses in Florida: General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, Air Conditioning “A” Contractor, Roofing, Commercial Pool, Home Inspector, and Mechanical Inspector. He has over 40 years of experience in the construction trade. Plus, he is a certified OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer and teaches 10- and 30-hour OSHA courses. He is a graduate of the Local 725 Union Apprenticeship Program for Air Conditioning and Pipefitting and held Dade County licensure as a General Mechanical Journeyman. He also holds an EPA Federal license for Refrigerant Recovery. He is the President of Hamby Contracting, Inc., a general contracting company, and Academy of Construction, Health, and Safety, Inc. a consulting company. He formerly held Construction Superintendent and Construction Foreman positions at several large firms in South Florida. He has been teaching at Florida Atlantic University for over 30 years.
Dr. Eileen F. Hamby (CACP and CMCP)
Dr. Eileen F. Hamby earned both a Master’s and a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. She has a strong family background in the construction industry. She continued the tradition and is a State Certified General Contractor, Commercial Pool Contractor, and Home Inspector. She is the Vice President of Hamby Contracting, Inc. a general contracting company, and Academy of Construction, Health, and Safety, Inc., a consulting company. Dr. Hamby served on the Board of Directors of the Flagler County Home Builders Association, the Florida Association of Home Builders, and the National Association of Home Builders. Additionally, she is a Past President of Flagler County Home Builders Association. She has over sixty publications and speaking engagements at local, state, and national conferences. She has been teaching at Florida Atlantic University for over 30 years.
