The Philosophy Department at Florida Atlantic University offers a high quality Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy. Our B.A. program is consistently viewed as one of the best undergraduate philosophy programs in Florida's public university system.
Many of the students who have graduated with a B.A. in philosophy from Florida Atlantic University have gone on to sucessfully pursue their graduate/professional education at such institutions as Oxford University, Columbia University, Princeton University, The New School for Social Research, SUNY Stony Brook, and SUNY Binghampton.
The quality of the undergraduate program at Florida Atlantic University is enhanced by the presence of an active research faculty that produces numerous professional publications and conference presentations, both at the national and the international level.
The Philosophy Department offers an undergraduate program of study with an emphasis in the liberal arts and, at the same time, prepares the student for various career opportunities.
