Onur Basman

Hello Owls! My name is Stephenie Eliassin and I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. I currently serve as the President of SHAC. I am also a member of the National Organization for Women chapter at FAU and the National Council of Negro Women. I’m also a L.E.A.R.N alumna. Off campus I volunteer at the FAU Green Memory and Wellness center, and I am a medical scribe at Delray Medical Center. As President of SHAC I would like to create a bridge between FAU’s student body and Student Health Services. I want students to be more aware of the resources we provide at FAU by promoting the different services at the Clinic and Owls Care. I hope that students will feel supported and safe in the care of the Student Health Services, by creating an open space for communication.

Hello everyone! My name is Brianna Youhana and I am the Vice President for SHAC. I am currently a senior here at FAU pursuing a Health Sciences degree. I aspire to become a physical therapist and after I graduate, I will be attending graduate school to pursue a doctorate of physical therapy. On campus, I am a Owls Care Leader. I am also a peer mentor with The Mentoring Project and I am a member of The "Oh So Pretty" Pi Eta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Somos FAU, Inc as well as a L.E.A.R.N alumna. Off campus, I volunteer at the FAU Green Memory and Wellness Center. As the Vice President, I intend to make sure that our organization functions properly so that we can provide the highest level of health promotion and awareness to our fellow students. I hope that by increasing awareness of health issues and the health services we provide on campus, FAU students will feel secure and know that our services are here to make sure they are in excellent health.

Greetings, my fellow FAU Owls! My name is Alexis Raymond and I am a junior majoring in Biological Sciences at FAU. My goal for the future is to attend Medical School and become a Pediatrician with my own Children’s Clinic down the line. I am currently serving as the Fundraising Chair for SHAC. As well as partaking in the involvement of BSU, NCNW and Women’s Empowerment Club! I joined SHAC because I want to make a difference around campus medically. I want our owls to be educated in an amplitude of ways when it comes to health. As a E-board member, I hope to accomplish growth within our followings. My plan for the future is for us as a group to progress continuously! - Go owls

Hello Everyone! My name is Bethany and I am your Parliamentarian for Student Health Advisory Council for 2020-2021. A little more about me, I attend on Medical School after a year of traveling to various sites and aspire to be a pediatrician. Off campus I work as a mental health assistant and I adore my job so much. My job as a parliamentarian is to assist our organization in the drafting and upholding laws and rules of order, and to create/aid in planning meetings. I Can nott wait to meet you all! GO OWLS!

Hi, my name is Stefan Sapiano. I am in the Direct Admission Nursing program here at FAU! I decided to join SHAC because I have a profound passion for health, fitness nutrition and overall well being for myself as well as others around me. This year, I hope to enhance SHAC by providing my insight on health-related topics, filmmaking expertise to share our events and overall positive attitude to the topics discussed and shared!

Hello FAU owls, my name is Christie Charles and I am a junior majoring in health sciences with a minor in political science. My goal is to get into a BSN program and eventually go on to become a women's health nurse practitioner. On campus I am involved as an E-board member of the Women's Empowerment Club, and as a member of CSA and BSU. I am also a student mentor apart from FAU's mentoring program. On campus I am also an admissions student representative and I work closely with the office of admissions to do their tasks. My goal for SHAC as its marketing director is to have the organization be known to students on campus and allow them to know how to properly use its resources when needed by way of social media marketing and also marketing on campus.

Hi there! My name is Joseph and I serve as the Director of Records for Student Health Advisory Council's executive board for the 2020-2021 academic year. I am majoring in Finance, which at this point you might wonder "what is a finance student doing in SHAC?" To which, I give the simple answer: because health is something that affects our daily lives and enlightening myself on it grants me the opportunity to educate others who do not place as much thought into their health. A few quirks about me are that I am open to new experiences in life, and am more of an ambivert. One of my aspirations in life is "to be happy." (Giselle K. Carter). However, as Director of Records for SHAC, I plan on alleviating my fellow e-board members' duties by being the living proof of efficacy and transparency in order to elevate this marvelous organization to the ranks that I reckon it deserves to be.

Hello, I am Michaella Louis. I am 18 years old and I am currently a junior, majoring in social work. I joined SHAC because I want to help others. Although my major isn’t health science, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to meet new people and get involved around campus. As an E-board member, I hope to meet new people and create new amazing memories. I want to build strong relationships and be able to make a positive difference on campus. As the community service chair, it is my responsibility to find different community service opportunities the group can do, either virtually or face to face. I love to volunteer and for a very long time, I have been very active in my community, so I thought the position was perfect for me. I’m glad to be part of the SHAC e-board.
