If you are not covered by your family health insurance plan and you want coverage, FAU sponsors an accident and sickness policy for domestic and international students. For more information, see our Insurance information or see the insurance representative in the Boca campus Student Health Services clinic on Thursdays between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. All international students must provide proof of acceptable insurance coverage in order to register for classes. How to use insurance at SHSContact your insurance company to understand what services are covered and to find out if PRE-AUTHORIZATION is necessary. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT/PATIENT TO OBTAIN PRE-AUTHORIZATION. The Insurance Billing Department will verify coverage with in-network carriers only before filing claims for services provided at Student Health Services. Deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered services will be charged to your FAU student account. |
