Diplomas will be mailed 6-8 business weeks after the end of the term via the U.S. Postal Service to all graduates who meet degree requirements and do not have outstanding financial obligations. An email confirmation will be sent to the graduate's FAU email account once the diploma has been mailed.
Please note that diplomas are sent to the diploma address on file. Be sure to keep your diploma address current. Verifying and/updating your Diploma address is easy! Log into MyFAU, click FAU Self-Service, then Personal Information and finally View/Update Contact Information. You are responsible for ensuring that your diploma mailing address is correct. FAU will make two attempts to deliver the diploma free of charge. If the diploma is returned to FAU, it will be held for up to two semesters before it is destroyed. You will be required to purchase a replacement diploma.
If your diploma is printed incorrectly due to university error or it is damaged in route, you may return the incorrect or damaged diploma to the Office of the Registrar for one complimentary replacement. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further direction.
Duplicate/Replacement Diplomas & Certificates
The fee for each duplicate diploma/certificate is $10.00. All duplicate diplomas/certificates will be reissued in the current format and will bear the names and signatures of current officials in office at the time the order is placed. To order a duplicate diploma and/or certificate please complete and submit the online order form. Once your request is submitted, orders are not refundable.
Replacement and duplicate diplomas/certificates will be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service, usually within 7-10 business days of receipt of the request. If you have requested to pick-up your diploma at the Registrar’s Office, you will be contacted once it is ready.
