Introducing a Bold New Roadmap for Florida Atlantic's Future

With the approval last week from our Board of Trustees and yesterday’s approval from the Florida Board of Governors, I’m proud to share our 2026-2031 Strategic Plan, 2031FAU: Where Tomorrow Begins. This plan builds on the remarkable momentum of recent years and affirms our unwavering dedication to Florida Atlantic’s continued ascent. As a Top 100 Public University and Carnegie R1 top-tier research institution, we are committed to expanding opportunity, advancing groundbreaking research, strengthening our communities, and enhancing Florida Atlantic’s reputation as a leader in academic excellence and student success.

Our plan is clear: the university will deliver a return on investment for every student; discover solutions that create healthier, safer, and more prosperous communities; power our rise by maximizing our strategic assets; and further elevate Florida Atlantic as a destination for talent, innovation, and economic growth.

As our community’s Hometown University, we recognize that our success is intertwined with that of South Florida and our state. To prepare our students for a rapidly changing world, our strategic plan commits to expanding real-world opportunities for learning, including internships, mentorships, and research opportunities, that will shape our graduates into the professionals, executives, public servants, and innovators who will lead our region tomorrow.

While this strategic plan charts our course for the next five years, its success depends on the continued partnership of those who believe in our mission.
