The Florida Atlantic softball team made history this weekend when it won the program’s first American Athletic Conference regular season title, as well as the University’s first AAC title. This is the program’s first regular season title since 2018 and its 11th 40-win season — its first since 2016.

After sweeping the University of Tulsa at home this weekend, the Owls finished the regular season with a 41-13 overall record and a 21-6 record in conference play. The team won every conference series this season, four of which were sweeps.

This also was senior weekend. Following the presentation of the AAC trophy on Sunday, the team honored Gabby Baylog, Katelynn de Leon, Kamryn Jackson, Becca Jones, Zoey Jones, Cally Kildow, Presley Leebrick, Megan Moll, Holley Peluso, Cammeo Presutti and Trinity Schlotterbeck for their contributions to the program.

Next, the Owls will compete in the AAC tournament in Wichita, Kansas. As the No. 1 seed, they will automatically advance to the semifinals on Friday, May 10 and will play the winner of Game 6.

Congratulations to our players, Head Coach Jordan Clark and her staff, on an outstanding season. Go Owls!
