Owl Family Weekend Begins Friday

Florida Atlantic’s annual Owl Family Weekend will take place this Friday, Oct. 6, until Sunday, Oct. 8. We are thrilled to welcome students and their families to the Boca Raton campus for an exciting weekend filled with special events and school spirit.

Each day during Owl Family Weekend will focus on a theme that speaks to the priorities of the Division of Student Affairs. On Friday, a Mindful Movement session kicks off the day’s activities that center around health and wellness, including a Health and Wellness Expo in the Student Union. Saturday will celebrate athletics and alumni with an Owl Family Weekend Tailgate event, followed by a football game at 6 p.m. at FAU Stadium. The Owls will face Tulsa in their inaugural American Athletic Conference game. On Sunday, an exclusive Career Suit-Up event will close out the weekend with a focus on career readiness.

At Florida Atlantic, families play an essential role in our students’ success and Owl Family Weekend is an important way for us to embrace these significant connections. I hope everyone enjoys this meaningful program, and I look forward to spending time with our Owl families throughout the weekend.
